I would like to thank Gene, the
academy, double-sided tape, http://www.russianhair.net/, and the farm fresh Russian
virgins who spent their life at pasture munching sweet organic
crops and fattened up on omelene and then squeezed this hair
out cuticle by glorious cluticle just for me me me.
Bottom
layer one weft in medium/dark brown. Next layer 2 wefts
medium brown. Third highest layer one blond weft with one
light brown at the top.
Total install: about 5 oz,
20"-21" longest length (layered) 5 wefts all about 11" width.
Schoooooooooooooweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Ohh ... it is gorgeous!!
Yay for you!! I cannot wait to get me summa that. I will have
to save for a while- I will need at least 4 wefts, I think.
My hair is about the same color and length, naturally,
that yours is. How many oz. do you estimate that you are
wearing? I normally need to wear 4-5 oz to go from about
14" natural length to 18-22" layered extensions length w/ nice
natural volume SANS mullet. And could you please tell me
which colors you have? I remember you had a light brown and
one of the blondes... ? Enjoy, .... It is scrumptiously
beautiful.

..., ...hhahahaha! That
post of yours made my day!
I just emailed http://www.russianhair.net/
to get some more hair. Ok ok ok, I have a hair addiction. Heh
heh. I would like a little more fullness as this is
"straight" hair and I don't want to have much curl in it all
the time. The curl does drop rather quickly but frankly that's
fine for me ...I'm more a subtle wave/tousled bedhead chick
than bouncy barrel curls.
Great day with it today. Up
at 5am, worked until this evening and only rearranged it with
fingercombing. Good times.

Amm, I missed this post
because I was away on a little vacation. Your installs always
look amazing, but this one... OMG! Please update us as you
wear it as to what you're doing to care for it, how it's
wearing, and how it compares to the other hair you've worn.
I can't believe the amazing hair everyone is getting
from http://www.russianhair.net/. I love my dark hair but am jealous of all the
pretty highlights and lighter colors you all are
wearing. _________________

Hi everyone ((((wave))))
I was on one of the other boards for a long time and
wondered where everyone went!
I've been doing my own
extensions for over a year using ... and a few others before
that.. so lets say about 4 yrs of extension experience for me!
I like ... and a few others have been using the cheapo
stuff (for me it's the ...) I did use the ... and
it was nice but it just wasn't worth it for me. It's nice but
not THAT nice I guess.
Anyway I wanted to try the
russian hair. After I saw the photos's of the ... and the
russian wefts side by side that did it for me. My hair usually
lasts pretty long (even the cheapo stuff) so if I actually had
great hair I would be thrilled!
I'm hoping that you
guys can help me out. I don't wear a lot of hair. My hair is
pretty coarse (however too short) so I don't use tons of it. I
only wear three rows. But I triple my bottom weft, double the
next row up and single the top row. I usually order one pack
and use less that half of it. I'm wondering about the russian.
Unfortunately, I can't order a bunch of it if I'm not going to
use it.. What I figure I will need is 2 rows on the bottom
sewn together (my wefts are 5" across) and one or two more in
the middle and top. I'm thinking 2 ounces will give me that??
Does that sound right? Also when ordering I just order it and
give the size wefts I want cause they can't be cut, correct?
Finally, I've always used the machine wefts which are
kinda lumpy on the head are these wefts tiny? thinner?
flatter? just curious. I always worry someone will touch my
head and wonder what the h*ll those lumps are? If they are
flatter on the head that would be awesome!
thanks
everyone for your help.. I missed you guys!

Welcome, ...!
You've asked some great questions! I'm one of the original
Russian hair converts. My passion for this hair
was a big reason why I started our ....
As far as
how many wefts you'll need, depending on the width of the weft
(the actual measurement around your head where the weft goes)
and the length of the hair (the part that goes down your
back), one of http://www.russianhair.net/ wefts should have about an ounce of hair
in it. With ... machine wefting I needed two wefts in each
track to get the volume I wanted, which was pretty bulky
compared to what I wear now. Wearing http://www.russianhair.net/ wefts, one weft
per track is all I need.
I started off with the
equivalent of two wefts, temple to temple, and this gave a
pretty adequate amount of volume for a style that was 11" long
with my own hair being to my shoulders. I decided immediately
that three tracks was better and added a third weft. For my
next install, I put in 13-14" long hair and realized I'd need
more fullness. I'm now wearing four wefts with about 4 oz. of
hair in a long layered style that is about 13" long. I can
tell you that my hair is very thick and full. My ponytail is
the thickness of the diameter of between a quarter and a
half-dollar.
As far as the thinness of the micro
wefts, if you have an iPod, look at the cord that goes up to
the earbuds. The top of http://www.russianhair.net/ wefts is thinner than this
cord, and also very flat. I have my wefts sewn in with tiny
little braids, and the whole track is still a little smaller
than that iPod cord. The micro wefts are stiff when you get
them, but if you soak them in conditioner and manipulate them
a bit (or just wear them through one install) they get much
softer.
You are going to LOVE the Russian hair, and
http://www.russianhair.net/ gives fabulous customer service. _________________

It really is an amazing
experience wearing that hair. It sounds like even with a light
perm the texture of your Russian hair stayed just as soft and
pretty. Are you getting better-lasting curls now that you've
permed it? I guess the trick with the Russian is only to perm
the virgin colors.
Are you planning on perming the new
hair, or did you order a more curly texture? Based on how
great your permed hair came out, I sure wouldn't have any
problem if I wanted more curly hair buying the straight
texture and perming it. It has sounded from what some have
reported that the curly-textured Russian hair has a wide range
in its curl pattern, so you'd actually get more control over
how much curl you ended up with if you permed, I
think. _________________
